On Monday, March 22nd 2021, Carolyn Sue Powell Hester, passed away at the age of 79. Sue – who never liked being called Carolyn – passed at her son’s home in Colorado, surrounded by family and knowing she was loved. She was a loving mother to Patrick and Stanton, Sister to Toni, Judy, Patricia, Randall and E. R. Powell Jr., Daughter of E.R. Powell Sr. & June S. Sue was my first cousin and when I was very young she and her sister Toni took me to the show, to the Library and to Baker’s Grocery. I loved her so much. Donna Powell Richardson

Sue was the happiest person. As a sister she was enjoyable to be with, we did a lot of things together worked, shopped and did crazy things. All my sisters and I had nothing but love for one another. I’ve lost 2 sisters and 2 brothers and mom and dad . There’s only 2 of us left. But I’ll always remember my beautiful family! Glad to have been at the celebration for life for Sue. Sue would have loved all that attended . Love your little sister Pat
